Registration
Balance group representative (BGR)
To become a balance group representative in the market area East, applicants must first register with the MVGM, AGGM Austrian Gas Grid Management AG.
AGGM requires the following information, among other things, during the online registration process:
- AT number (issued by AGCS. Please send an email to office@agcs.at stating the exact name of the company and its VAT number)
- Extract from the commercial register (issued no more than three months ago; for companies based outside Austria, this must be notarised and, if necessary, translated into German or English)
- Business premises registration (if applicable, proof of VAT registration in Austria) - For further information, click here.
- Indication of the projected annual energy turnover
- User details for the AGCS online portal
Once online registration on the AGGM portal is complete, AGCS will receive all necessary information from AGGM. AGCS will then promptly contact the market participant and provide further details on the next steps:
- SEPA business-to-business direct debit mandate
- Deposit of collateral
Further information on the deposit of collateral:
AGCS will inform the applicant of the amount of collateral to be deposited in a separate letter sent by post.
The following options are available for depositing collateral:
- Bank guarantee
- Pledged cash deposit account
- Pledged securities account
- Pledged storage account
Daily balancing obligation:
The required documents can be found under the menu heading Sample Documents. Please note that, in accordance with the principle of equal treatment, AGCS does not accept any documents for the deposit of collateral with deviating wording.
Once valid collateral has been deposited, the SEPA mandate has been provided and the registration form has been submitted with a company signature, AGCS will approve the contract to be sent to the MVGM. AGGM signs the BGR contract on behalf of and for the account of AGCS.
Following a positive decision by Energie-Control Austria, activation as a balance group representative in the market area takes place at the same time as activation with the MVGM.
In order to supply end customers, the balance group representative must, in addition to registering as a BGR, also apply for registration or assignment of a supplier with the MVGM.
